Tiger Woods wife pregnant with second child! Yeah! Tiger Woods announced today on his website that he and his wife, Elin Nordegren, are expecting their second child in late winter. Tiger has not played golf since his U.S. Open victory in June, and two weeks later Tiger had reconstructive surgery on his left knee that put him out for the remainder of the year.
Woods’ first child, daughter Sam Alexis, was born June 18, 2007, the Monday after the 2007 U.S. Open. Sam is going to be a big sister!
“I have some wonderful news to report. Sam is going to be a big sister,” Woods announced on his website. “Elin and I are proud to announce that we are expecting our second child in late winter.”
Woods was not more specific on the due date but that should mean the birth will not conflict with any of the 2009 major golf tournaments. Yeah! Tiger Woods makes watching golf fun and exciting!
“Elin is feeling great and we are both thrilled,” Woods said. “While my injury has been disappointing and frustrating, it has allowed me to spend a lot of time watching Sam grow. I can’t begin to tell you how rewarding it is being a dad and spending time with her and Elin”.
“The injury has been a blessing and a disappointment.” Woods had said after he married Swedish model Elin in 2004 that he wanted more than one child, and his wish is coming true. Woods was an only child, while Elin has a twin sister.
Tiger finished his announcement by saying, “I’m already starting to wonder if Sam’s sibling will be a boy or girl.”
Congratulations and well wishes go out to Tiger, Elin and Sam on their upcoming bundle of joy!
