IHOP diners can get three free short stack buttermilk pancakes in celebration of National Pancake Day, with no coupon or purchase necessary.

National Pancake Week runs from Feb 22nd – Feb 28th 2009. National Pancake Day falls on Feb 24th and is also referred to as Fat Tuesday, Mardi Gras or Shrove Tuesday.

According to IHOP’s website, “All we ask is that you consider making a donation to support local children’s hospitals through Children’s Miracle Network, or other local charities.” Charitable giving is an honorable thing, so seriously consider making a donation because each and every dollar donated helps people in need.

Since the beginning of National Pancake Day in 2006, International House of Pancakes has already raised nearly two million dollars to support community charities. Tuesday’s National Pancake Day celebration hopes to raise 1,000,000 for Children’s Miracle Network in 2009 as its goal for the year.

Yum yum, all my family members love pancakes with maple syrup, Lin. Thanks for the head up, I’ll definitely check this out!

I ate for almost free yesterday. Quizino’s even had free food also. It was a good day.

      Hi Eathan,

I heard about Quiznos free offer, and my kids printed off the Quiznos coupon directly from the website last night and enjoyed their sub sandwich for dinner. The freebie deals from restaurants is a great marketing tool, and hopefully more restaurants and restaurant chains will see the value and benefit of giving food away for free.

The Jack-in-the-Box tacos were awful. They were not even worth free.

Awww Rudy, that’s a shame. I’ve always liked the super tacos at Jack In The Box but I tend to favor the burgers over the tacos. My kids went and got their free tacos too, but they also said the tacos were too greasy and didn’t taste very good at all. What a shame.
