“I don’t really know what to say. First of all, I’ve got Whitney Houston presenting to me and, wow, I’m just in awe right now. But I would first of all like to thank God, who has brought me through. I would like to thank my family, those in heaven and those who are here today. David Otunga (Jennifer’s fiance’) who’s here with me tonight. My sisters, who are here. I just don’t know where to start. Everybody, thank you, thank you all.”

Jennifer Hudson You Pulled Me Through Lyrics

I was in the darkness
I was out in the cold
Seemed nothing could heal this
This hole in my soul
You reached out your arms to me
Held out your heart to me
Pulled me back from the edge
Thought i reached the end.
When i was drowning
When i was so confused
You you you pulled me through
I was in the shadows
Lost, nothing left to lose.
You, you, you pulled me through.
You gave my faith back
Faith was so hard to find
You gave me my life back
You were my lifeline
The love that you gave me
Is love that has saved me
Your strength is what made me strong
You held me and i held on
When i was drowning
When i was so confused
You oh you you pulled me through
I was in the shadows
Lost, nothing left to lose.
You, you, you pulled me through.
Out of the dark
Into your arms
Into the light
Your love saved my life
When i was drowning
When i was so confused
You, ooh you, you (pulled me through)
(when i was drowning) when i was drowning
I was so confused (when i was confused)
Yea you ooh you yea you you pulled me through
(you pulled me through, you) you, you pulled me through

I loved Jennifer’s dress in the Grammy award, Lin. 🙂

    • Lin says:

      Hi Wilson,

I thought Jennifer looked lovely in her dress too. I’ve read on some other sites talking about Jennifer Hudson and her dress, saying she looked terrible and that the dress was…how shall I word this….inappropriate and too revealing. I thought she looked fine.

  3. I like Jennifer Hudson. After the shocking event that happened to her family, she still managed to stand up and be strong. I saw her performance, too…and it was so awesome!

    • Lin says:

      Hi Sheena,

Jennifer Hudson is amazing in so many ways. Her strength getting through the murder of her three family members is incredible. I can’t even imagine going through something like that and handling it all the way she did. I agree wholeheartedly that Jennifer’s grammy performance was awesome!

I know her from the “Dream girls” movie, and I love every songs that she sang in that movie. Especially, “One Night Only”
when I saw her performed “You Pulled Me Through”, I was so surprised and touched. After what she’s been through, she still can be so strong. She’s amazing.

Hi Ada, wasn’t Dream Girls amazing?! I had actually seen the dream girls broadway play when it came to our town (with Jennifer Holiday as the main singer) and the singing performances gave me chills. It was amazing, and so is Jennifer Hudson. She deserves every one of the awards she receives.
