American Idol Season 9 Auditions at Dallas Cowboys Stadium 2010

American Idol season 9 auditions and tryouts are coming to the new Dallas Cowboys Stadium for American Idol 2010 hopefuls and wannabes. Whoohoo! American Idol announced the confirmed cites, venues and locations of where auditions will be held, after Wednesday’s American Idol 2009 Finale show where Kris Allen was crowned the winner of American Idol.

The Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex has a strong American Idol connection to Dallas-area season 1 winner Kelly Clarkson who was raised in Burleson, and season 7 finalist Jason Castro who was raised in Rowlett TX, and I couldn’t be more thrilled that auditions for American Idol Season 9 are coming to Cowboys Stadium in Arlington.

DFW area Idol auditions were previously held at Texas Stadium in Irving, TX. Arlington City Council member Robert Riviera spoke with FOX4’s reporter Brandon Todd outside the Cowboys Stadium Wednesday night, immediately following Kris Allen’s not-so-surprising win over Adam Lambert, before confirmation came in that American Idol auditions for season 9 will be at Cowboys Stadium.

Rivieria said, “This is something that would be very exciting for not only Arlington but for the greater North Texas area. It’s something we would warmly embrace and we would welcome visitors to our city to stay in our hotels, eat in our restaurants and shop in our retail centers.”

Yeah, I bet.

Arlington’s part of building the HUGE, $1.1 billion Dallas Cowboys new stadium is a whopping $325 million, so having Idol auditions held locally may help put a dent in the costs.

American Idol audition hopefuls would do well to learn how to audition for American Idol in order to not find themselves on the list of Idol ‘freaks’ and wannabes that couldn’t sing to save their lives. Who tells these people they can sing anyway? Audition performances end up on video sites like YouTube, where people around the world can laugh and poke fun at the worst singers and performers ever seen on American Idol. Pssst, they’re not laughing WITH you, they’re laughing AT you.

One of my favorite parts of Idol are the American Idol Spoilers, where lists of songs to be performed are leaked and plastered across the net even before American Idol goes live on Fox.

I, for one, am very anxious for the American Idol Season 9 auditions coming to Dallas sometime over the summer. I’ll be watching closely for updates on the dates, times, rules and additional information for the upcoming auditions for Idol hopefuls that I know.

This summer is going to be a lot of fun for me since I bought American Idol tickets for the Idols LIVE summer concert tour at the American Airlines Center in July, and of course watching the Idol audition videos online.

Are you going to see the Top 10 during the American Idol LIVE summer concert tour? Are you going to audition for American Idol at the Cowboys Stadium? I wish you all the luck in the world!

Lin, I was entertained by this latest season American Idol finale show. Honestly, I thought Kris Allen is well-deserved to be crowned as the winner. In the other hand, I must give my credit to Adam Lambert for bring all the audience such an interesting rock show!

By the way, I heard many rumors that Simon Cowell won’t be the judge anymore for the brand new season 9 American Idol. Is it only a hearsay or what…?

Hi Wilson, I’m glad you enjoyed Season 8 of American Idol. Having season 9 come to Dallas again will definitely make for some good performances and interesting wannabe videos for the show. Simon Cowell has said for quite awhile now that he’s planning on leaving the show when he turns 50. We’ll see what happens with next season if he stays or goes.

Honestly, Lin. If Simon Cowell decided don’t want to continue as one of the American Idol’s judges, then it will have a bigger possibility that I won’t watch the American Idol again…

Without Simon Cowell, the American Idol is boring and dull! (Well, it’s only my personal thought, and I have no intention to insult anyone here)

          Hi Wilson,

You aren’t the only one who feels that way. Simon Cowell has been saying for a couple of years that he’d be leaving Idol when he turns 50 years old. Given the fact that American Idol has been suffering from low ratings for awhile, my guess is that there is at least some talk about discontinuing the show after next season. Simon has been quoted as saying he didn’t want to continue with a show that wasn’t #1 anymore, and the amount of travel he does for the shows he’s involved with has been wearing him down. We’ll see what happens after next season.

I know the dates for the auditions are the 26th and registration are 24&25 but what time do we need to go to get our registration and for tryouts?

    • Lin says:

The information about all the American Idol auditions cities say to be there for registration BY 5:00 a.m. Good luck!
