Crescendo – Becca Fitzpatrick – Review

Have you read Crescendo by Becca Fitzpatrick yet? Crescendo is a Must Read! With the start of Becca Fitzpatrick’s Crescendo, you get sucked back in time to before Hush, Hush’s timeline to when main character Nora Grey’s father was murdered. Of course, if you don’t pay attention to character’s first and last names you won’t understand the point of the prologue.

As you get sucked back into the present with now-teenage Nora Grey and her “super-hot” boyfriend Patch, you can tell there is going to be a lot of tension in the book. After their fun-filled day is over and Nora’s curfew creeps closer and closer, the couple finds themselves, in Patch’s black Jeep Commander, sharing trinkets of their affection. As Nora mutters those 3 dangerous words to Patch, he discovers they have a dangerous audience and leaves Nora at home in a flash.

Dallas Experience Gifts – Experience Gift Days For Christmas, Weddings, Birthdays, Anniversaries

Gift experience days represent some of the most unique gift ideas for holidays like Christmas, or any other special occasion where gifts may be given. Birthdays, weddings, anniversaries are amongst my favorite times to give someone a gift of experiences that will be remembered for many years to come, if not a lifetime. I also enjoy giving “just because” gifts at various times throughout the year, completely unexpected inexpensive gifts just to treat someone I know to a special experience day for no other reason than to say I’ve been thinking about you and love you.

Some of my Dallas area readers and friends have asked me to share some ideas and resources I use to find fun things to do in and around Dallas and surrounding cities, as well as some local gift experience ideas DFW residents may not have thought about or know are available. It may be considered by some to be old-fashioned in today’s society to do nice things for people “just because” or send “thinking of you” cards, anniversary cards or Christmas cards to loved ones, but I like to do nice thoughtful things for people I care about, and send cards through the mail rather than sending e-cards (or not sending cards at all) just because doing so seems more personal to me.

Experience Gifts – Unique Experience Gift Ideas for Couples, Christmas, Birthdays, Anniversaries

The Christmas gift-giving season is upon us again. The holidays tend to bring along with it the stress and worry about how to afford giving traditional material gifts of more “stuff” for Christmas, and the ever-growing Christmas wish lists for Santa to deliver the latest and greatest toys, gadgets and electronics, all neatly wrapped and placed under the xmas tree.

The Christmas Day foray begins with children, teens and adults tearing through gift wrap as they experience the excitement and anticipation of receiving their wanted gifts. If the gift giving includes unwanted gifts, things that don’t fit or just stuff you don’t like, then you have to figure out a nice way of expressing appreciation for the unwanted gifts received. The after-Christmas bills start coming in the mail, and before long, many are left wondering why Christmas is always so expensive and they may even vow to begin making changes in their holiday spending the next year.

Christmas Spending – How to Stop Christmas Gift Giving Exchanges

Christmas spending predictions for the 2010 Christmas holiday season says 43 percent of American shoppers plan to spend less money this year than they did in ‘09, while only 11 percent plan to spend more, according to America’s Research Group. Founder and CEO of America’s Research, C. Britt Beemer, says “Pessimism among Americans about the upcoming Christmas season is off the charts”.

Consumers responding to the research group’s polled survey gave political, financial and personal reasons as to why their Christmas spending habits this holiday season will be less this year than previous years. Reasons given include massive government debt and unhappiness with the direction the country is heading with current political leaders, while many families continue to struggle just to make ends meet.

Best Weight Loss Programs and Diet Plans For Successful Weight Loss

What is the best diet plan or weight loss program for women wanting to lose weight? That is the question five clearly obese women were discussing rather loudly recently, seated at a table next to mine at a local restaurant. While I was reading a popular diet and nutrition book and enjoying my lunch of grilled fish and steamed vegetables, these ladies were reviewing the findings of popular weight loss programs discussed in a magazine, in hopes of choosing a diet they would all go on together and lose weight as a supportive team.

There are hundreds of diet plans to choose from for men and women to lose weight successfully, exercise and enjoy better overall health. The word “diet” tends to create the idea in people’s minds of a fast and easy, short-term plan for weight loss, with various celebrity diet endorsements (Dan Marino, Queen Latifah, Jenny McCarthy, Tori Spelling, Whoopi Goldberg, Anna Nicole Smith, Sarah Ferguson, Kathie Lee Gifford and Don Shula) meant to encourage television viewers towards a specific diet plan.
