International House of Pancakes (IHOP) is offering free pancakes between the hours of 7 a.m. and 10 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 24, 2009. IHOP diners can get three free short stack buttermilk pancakes in celebration of National Pancake Day, with no coupon or purchase necessary.

National Pancake Week runs from Feb 22nd – Feb 28th 2009. National Pancake Day falls on Feb 24th and is also referred to as Fat Tuesday, Mardi Gras or Shrove Tuesday.

15 hours straight of pancake deliciousness at IHOP. According to IHOP’s website, “All we ask is that you consider making a donation to support local children’s hospitals through Children’s Miracle Network, or other local charities.” Charitable giving is an honorable thing, so seriously consider making a donation because each and every dollar donated helps people in need.

Since the beginning of National Pancake Day in 2006, International House of Pancakes has already raised nearly two million dollars to support community charities. Tuesday’s National Pancake Day celebration hopes to raise 1,000,000 for Children’s Miracle Network in 2009 as its goal for the year.
