Power Juicers, Jack LaLanne Juicers or Breville Juicers, What is the Best Juice Extractor to Buy?

I wanted to buy a power juicer for fruit and vegetable juicing before we decided to start an organic garden of our own, and I’m thrilled with our recently purchased Breville Juice Fountain Elite 800JEXL juicing machine. After consulting with Consumer Reports juicer reviews of various brands and models and reading many other online customer reviews of juicers, the decision to buy a Breville juicer was an easy one.

While researching juice extractors, reading about the differences between a simple citrus juicer vs. a power juice extractor for fruit and vegetable combinations, and understanding the terminologies used for juicers was a great help in deciding which juicer to buy. I’ve of course heard of the Jack LaLanne juicers and seen the infomercials more times than I care to count hyping the LaLanne juicer as being the best juicer, so I was somewhat surprised to find it had the lowest ratings on Consumer Reports.

Healthy Living – Eating Healthy On a Budget

Living a healthy lifestyle of course includes eating healthy, learning even the basics of nutrition and understanding the many benefits of healthy eating on the body, mind and spirit. For people living on a budget, eating healthy may seem to be an impossible task, especially with food prices going up and trying to make ends meet in a down economy.

Holistic Nutrition and Natural Nutrition – Best Food Documentaries – Holistic Health and Healing Books

Reading books on health, natural nutrition and nutritional food supplements is a large part of my reading lists program. Many of the holistic nutrition books I’ve read so far have dealt primarily with dentistry: books on mercury in fillings, fluoride and fluoridated water, how the right kind of nutrition has the “side effect” of healing and curing tooth decay, actually reversing decay in teeth throughout the mouth etc.

It goes without saying that preventing tooth decay and oral diseases of the mouth offers the greatest benefits to the population, and greatly reduces the costs of dental office visits and treatments to fix decayed or broken teeth. Holistic medicine and nutrition covers a wide variety of health and healing matters by natural remedies, versus what traditional medicine and the so-called health “authorities” would like us to believe.

Immediate access is one of the big attractions for many avid talking book fans, and yet another reason this book format has gained so much popularity so much in recent years.

Summer Books to Read – Food Documentaries and Summer Reading Lists

Ah, summertime is here. As summer approaches, families begin planning vacation trips to the beach and other fun places, and more often than not, making a list of books to read during the hot lazy days of summer. Young kids and teens are out of school and parents do their best to find fun things for their kids to do to keep them busy and entertained throughout the summer break.

Even though my kids are all grown up and on their own now, I still remember the summer reading programs, book clubs and book reading lists handed out by school teachers of all the books kids had to read over the summer. Even adults create their own summer reading lists of a variety of books they wish to read on topics of interest to them, and I’m no different. However, I am rarely ever without a book to read.
